What is your timeline?

Normally the turnaround time for a canopy is approximately 3 weeks. This is all depending on the detail of the paint job. There are a few paint schemes that require more time. Fades, stripes and a few graphics can be painted in the 3 week window. There are also no guarantees that I can have the canopy back to you in 3 weeks. The weather plays a big role in when I can and can not paint. If you ship me your canopy the timeline is started on the first saturday the canopy is in my shop.

Is your paint fuel proof?

No paint is fuel proof. The clear coat that I use is the same clear that is used on autos. This clear is fuel resistant. I have not have any problems with the nitro residue harming the canopy finish. If the canopy is cleaned after each day of flying the finish will last. If the fuel is left on the canopy for a long duration the clear coat will start to deteriorate. But then if you leave enough fuel on the canopy it will also eat through the canopy as well.

What are your prices?

Depending on the canopy and paint design the prices ramge from $70 to $175. For an exact price please send me an email and I will create an estimate for you

Can I supply my own canopy and fins?

Yes

Do you supply Canopies and Fins?

Yes. I stock Minature Aircraft canopies, Vigor and Raptors. If you need different canopy I can order on and have it shipped to me. My canopy prices are the same that you would find on the internet. For an exact price please send me an email and I will create an invoice for you.

Do you stock any pre-painted canopies?

I try to but they sell quickly. If I have any canopies in stock they are usuall on ebay for a discounted rate. Click Here to See Them

What are your forms of payment?

Check, Money order and Paypal. I have 2 paypal accounts. Ebay@canopyfx.com is a cash only account. Do not use a credit card when paying this account. It will only be returned. If you need to use a credit card please us paypal@canopyfx.com. This is my credit card account. There is a 3% fee fo rthe use of this account. This is what paypal charges me so it only seams fair. If you do not include the 3% when using this account the material will not ship until payment is made.

What are your colors?

Will my paint peel?

Through normal use of the canopy the paint will not peal. I use an adhesion promoter to ensure the paint sticks to the canopy.

How do you ship the canopies?

I use FedEx Ground shipping for all my domsetic shipping. I use the USPS for international shipping If you require different shipping please let me know so I can have the correct price. The package is insured and I will have an insurance number if thepackage is lost or damaged. I do not send the insurance numbers becuase the insurance is made out to me so the numbers are useless to you but allow me to find a lost box or replace a broken canopy.

Cutout and Triming Canopies

We do not offer special cutting services on our canopies. Due to concers about cuts not being exact we only offer rough cuts to lines provided on the canopies. You can complete the fine sanding to the exact shape can be done after the canopy is painted. All you need to do is sand with 400 gritt sandpaper and finsh the edge with clear nail polish. Once the edge is re sealed you should never have a problem with it.

Custom Orders and not instock canopies

I only stock a few canopies at any given time. The canopies are sold in the order that that requests come in. I do place canopy orders with the manufactures to keep my stock up. In the event that a canopy needs to be ordered to fill a request that canopy is the property of my customer. This means that if I order you a canopy it is yours, there is no return policy or canceling the order. In special circumstances I will work with you to try and resell the canopy and return your money at the time of sale. If a canopy is special ordered the quoted paint time will be from the time the canopy arrives to my location, not the day the order is placed.
